In most ACA Standards Manuals there is a mandatory requirement for Monthly Fire Inspections by a "qualified fire

Certified Instructor. Attendees successfully completing this training will gain the necessary knowledge to support their
qualification to complete these inspections and will be issued a certificate suitable for use as documentation in their ACA
file. Fire Inspection training is scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. If you are registered for
the conference the fee is $30.00 and for non-conference attendees there is a $60.00 fee.

 ACA CERTIFICATION EXAMS:
CAMA will once again be offering attendees the opportunity to take one of the ACA Certification Exams. The exams
will be held on Saturday, May 1, time to be determined. In order to take this exam, you will need to register with ACA
and pay for the exam. CAMA will provide a comfortable exam room and a proctor. Don’t miss this opportunity to en-
hance your professional credentials!

PANEL HEARINGS:
The Commission on Accreditation for Corrections will hold panel hearings on Friday, April 30, and Saturday, May 1 for

Keynote Speaker: Jungle Jack Hanna

We are excited to announce that Jack Hanna is confirmed as one of our Keynote Speakers.

He is also bringing some of his Animal Friends!

SheldrickTrust.Jack_038.JPG

2010 CAMA Conference Keynote Speaker: Jack Hanna, Director Emeritus Columbus Zoo, National TV personality

As a child, Jack spent his days cleaning animal cages for his local veterinarian and exploring the creek behind his house. Today, Jack Hanna explores the corners of the globe as one of the most visible and respected animal ambassadors in the world. His enthusiasm and “hands-on” approach to wildlife conservation has won him widespread acclaim as an author, television personality, conservationist, and director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. After working with several small zoos, Jack joined the Columbus Zoo as executive director in 1978. He inherited an outdated zoo with old cages, run-down buildings, and an animal collection that needed a better home. Hanna’s top priority was to increase community awareness and attendance by reaching out to the community and offering educational and entertaining events. These programs, in addition to the support of several influential members in the community, have helped Jack and his newly energized staffs transform the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium into the state-of-the-art park that it is today. Recognized around the country as America’s favorite zookeeper, Jack has made countless television appearances since 1983 on shows such as Good Morning America, CNN’s Larry King Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Fox News Programs, and the Late Show with David Letterman.Author of ten books— and counting, his timeless tales continue to captivate audiences of every generation. In September 2008, Jack released his new autobiography, Jack Hanna: My Wild Life.  Hanna took his infectious energy to the airwaves by creating two of his own nationally syndicated television programs Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures and most recently Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild. Into the Wild is unscripted and action-packed as Jack and his family explore the corners of the globe and discover amazing animals and cultures. In its first season, Into the Wild won an Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Series. Jack and his TV crew have had the privilege to travel to Africa more than forty times and visit each continent at least twice.
